Back in June, I received my teaching assignments for the upcoming school year. To my surprise, I was given a younger year group- one I haven’t taught in almost eight years.

That immediately sent me into research mode. I started brushing up on strategies to keep younger students engaged and manage the classroom effectively. As I dug through ideas, one approach kept popping up again and again. It was simple, versatile, and effective.
